about me

I’m a self-taught photographer, and as a former research scientist, I thrive on experimentation. I use my camera to create the images I see in my mind’s eye, and build my scenes around concepts and ideas. I never want to lose the fun of the creative process, and I try not to take any perceived tenet of art too seriously. My photos often show the beauty in the freakish and unexpected juxtapositions. I also very much like to combine the elements of lurid colors, goth, and mainstream cultural references, a style I lovingly refer to as dark kitsch.
